Funding battle with Ottawa sidetracks Toronto streetcar project

Toronto Mayor David Miller and Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty travelled to Thunder Bay on Friday to formally announce a $1.2-billion contract with Bombardier to build a new fleet of streetcars for the transit system in the provincial capital.

It seems the federal government (ie. the PC party) have reinforced their message of last week, with another big FUCK YOU to Toronto, and Ontario. It's been clear since they took power that they hate Toronto and Ontario and have systematically tried their best to fuck both over repeatedly. And while they have repeatedly failed to win any seats in the GTA they have won seats in the rest of Ontario, but I think come the fall and the election (little prediction, and request to Iggy) Ontario will show the PCs they have a long memory as this failure to fund will not only impact TO but Thunder Bay, and other cities across Ontario, and even into Qubec and Manitoba where parts contracts are expected to go.
