I have just finished watching the final episode of Torchwood, and the first of the new series of Doctor Who.
Both were excellent episodes, both well acted, written and full of action and surprises. Both change their universe for ever. When Torchwood returns next year with series three there will be one or more vacancies from the aftermath, and the Doctor will have to start getting used to his new (old) companion (as the April Fools episode said "She is annoying!") and the surprise guest star at the end of the episode wow this series is blowing my expectations out of the water already.
Two tidbits about the upcoming season four.
First episode four of the upcoming season will be titled "The Sontaran
Stratagem" and will be the first part of the first two parter of the
season, this is confirmed on the official BBC site.
Second is from Freema Agyeman's site, posting that
towards the end of season four the Doctor will find he needs the help
of more than just one companion, and he gets that help from Donna,
Martha, Capt. Jack and wait for it ROSE.
